In the vast ocean, I would like to thank you for getting to know me and for having this opportunity to communicate with you here.
Origin: My name is You Chen. I was born in 1985 and started studying numerical control in 2001. I actually grew up in a very privileged environment since I was a child. It can be said that I had a happier childhood than my peers. Until I was 12 years old, my father died due to an accident. He left me forever. I am not saying this to gain your sympathy. On the contrary, I am trying to express my faith and strength since childhood! -I have been a doer who dares to fight since I was a child, because I have known since I was a child that I can only rely on myself, a striver full of dreams like you. I once worked in XX Group from an ordinary technician to workshop director to vice president, achieving promotions in multiple identities and roles. Until an accidental opportunity more than 10 years ago, after successfully helping an unfamiliar customer solve an urgent problem, I accidentally crossed the line. I chose to start my own business in the industry (started from scratch, from metal processing to the processing and sales of imported engineering plastics. The most important thing is that I know how to be grateful to the previous company and leaders for cultivating me. The industry I chose is not related to the previous one, and there is no I went to steal my previous boss’s job. Even today, my boss still praises me very much when he mentions me!
The reason why I say this is that I started from the grassroots level and completed the accumulation of knowledge and abilities in many aspects such as machine tool operation, technology research and development, experience, customers, team building, company management, etc., and I have become what I am today!
Life is like a play. When you are helplessly and helplessly wandering at the crossroads of life, you can only choose to persevere silently.
In 2006, when I was 21 years old, after three years of professional and technical training, I successfully graduated with the title of senior technician vocational qualification. At that time, I just entered the society and was as arrogant as many young people today, thinking that I could have a brighter future. Let me break in. Who would have thought that the companies I just interviewed all started from the front line, and even in the first week of work, I was asked to clean a workshop as big as a football field by myself. At that time, it was really hard and very pessimistic. I often ask myself: Is this the only way my life can be?
The first company was a group company with about 2,000 employees. After I joined, I gradually gained the leadership's trust by virtue of my willingness to endure hardships, work overtime, and study, and I was promoted to team leader in my first year. Starting from the second year, I took turns being the leader of each group. Later, relying on my various outstanding performances in the group, at the end of the third year, our vice president personally talked to me and asked me to directly help him manage the workshop of more than 100 people, and was promoted to the so-called workshop director. However, the ideal is very full, and the reality is very skinny. After the next year, our boss arranged for his relatives to take over the management. At that time, I had no complaints, and I did not blame anyone. At that time, I learned to think differently. If I were in another position, If it were me, I would probably do the same thing, employ nepotism. (Of course, in my current position, hiring must be based on merit.) After several considerations, I chose to resign. I believed in my abilities, dared to work hard, and dared to think. Although my salary was already considered the best in many families at the time, But I know that I no longer have much room for development in this unit, so I want to change the environment and start over!
After I resigned, I didn’t find any good company for a while, so I thought about whether I could challenge myself to change the industry and consider whether I could open a store similar to "Burger Boy". In our era, there was only "KFC". In order to quickly understand this industry, I found a job at KFC. This job is relatively boring. I have to stand at the cash register every day. It is so difficult to do so. After getting to know more about it, I found that this industry is not suitable for me because what I studied in our school is all mechanical, and I studied it at KFC. Although it didn’t last long, KFC taught me to respect everyone because I worked as a waiter before I knew the hardships of the service industry. So until now, every time I go out to eat, I will pour the water myself. Even if the waiter comes to pour the water, I will say thank you to them. Respect every hardworking practitioner.
It wasn't until I was 25 years old that I entered my second company and started as an ordinary employee. What is the cruelty of reality? It's because you haven't prepared anything and don't understand anything. Seven to eight million brand-new devices that you have never touched are just debugged and asked to be operated by me tomorrow. I don't even know the purpose of each switch function. (But often this is when our value is reflected. When an opportunity comes and you grasp it, you are a talent. When you gain the trust of your boss, it is also your turning point). I remember that one time that stood out in my mind was a process problem. Due to a lack of equipment, outside collaboration might be required, and it would cost hundreds of thousands to complete. At that time, I designed a boring tool for the company, which could drill holes with a diameter of about 2700mm. In the end, I successfully solved a big problem for the company that cost hundreds of thousands. At that time, when I was an ordinary employee, I only had to pay for this item. The company saved hundreds of thousands. (A good employee must look at the problem from the perspective of the manager, and a good manager must look at the problem from the perspective of the enterprise. Of course, I want to make a digression. When you stand out, you may encounter Various pressures from your superiors and other employees, what you need is to move forward)
At that time, I only had one belief, that gold always shines. 360 lines, every line is the number one. We don't need to belittle ourselves, nor do we need to value ourselves too much. As long as we work hard and work hard, we can always find a bright road.
Later, I worked quietly in this company for 8 years and completed the accumulation of knowledge and capabilities in technology, experience, customers, operations and other aspects. I am mainly responsible for sales, and the business I run personally now accounts for more than 50% of the company. The most profitable business of the company is all run by me.
When a person is really capable, many other local bosses may come to poach you with a high salary. You may even be able to introduce business to others with just a phone call, and you can easily make hundreds of thousands of extra money every year. But I still refused many such calls, even invitations from acquaintances.
Here, what I might want to communicate to you is that except when we achieve some achievements through our own efforts, we must not be inflated and must remember the four words "morality and wealth". At the same time, "continuous self-improvement and moral integrity" is also the school motto of Tsinghua University. It is your company that has given you such a platform and made you successful. Even if your contribution may not be proportional to your income, you must remember the well-diggers.
You know, our older generation of entrepreneurs either started from scratch, or they became rich by converting the state into private, or the village into private. Either start with sales, then set up a separate business and take away your own customers. There are still many such examples around me. In the short term, this may start quickly, but in the long term, the customers won will not be there at all. Long-term, because today he can run with you, and tomorrow he can run with others. And from a moral point of view, it is the platform your boss gives you that realizes the value of life. Even if you become a customer, your boss will not pay you an equal amount of salary. I can’t feel sorry for my boss or the company. This kind of life is not what I want.
When I was 31 years old, I politely refused my boss’s offer to buy me a BMW car in full. In order to realize the value of my life, when I was 31, I cut off all my previous contacts and customer groups without stealing my boss’s clients, and started my own business - Nopde across different tracks.
In different fields, it is really difficult for me to start all over again. I can’t count how many days and nights I spent at the company, and I was very pleased that I persisted. Up to now, I may only go home for one meal a week. The rest of the time is spent helping customers solve problems, or in the company. Fortunately, we are never lonely on the road of persevering as a craftsman. As we walk, the road becomes wider and wider, and the light gets closer and closer. Now, Nopde has three main development sectors: ultra-precision plastic processing → Mitsubishi Engineering Plastics agent → plastic welding In the three major business sectors, you will find that there are also many customers who insist on requiring craftsman products. This is how our story begins: I will dedicate my life to serving you: my customers and my craftsmanship.
